Coronavirus Disinfection & Prevention Measures from My Cleaning Service
One Step Ahead For You
Because it is the season for heightened awareness of viruses, the demand for deeper surface cleaning has risen all across the country. My Cleaning Service has done our research to aid in the technologies and products necessary for increasing the level of disinfecting that we can provide to our clients. To stay ahead of the spread of bacteria and viruses, such as coronavirus that spreads through person-to-person contact, we have instructed our cleaners to take extra precautions when disinfecting surfaces.
Coronavirus: What You Need To Know
With the news surrounding the coronavirus, it is important to be informed about what it is and how to prevent it. According to World Health Organization, coronaviruses are a family of viruses that can strike as the common cold or more severely as respiratory diseases. Symptoms are shortness of breath, coughing, and fever and begin within two weeks of initial contact to the virus. It is zoonotic and can transfer among animals and people and is thought to spread through eating infected meat. For further research check out the CDC’s website and Diversey’s Coronavirus PDF.
Protecting Yourself This Virus Season
The best advice World Health Organization gives to protect yourself is to wash your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based sanitizer, being careful to avoid contacting dirty hands with your face, eyes and mouth. You can protect others when coughing and sneezing by covering your mouth and nose with either your arm or a tissue. In addition, clean your hands when caring for the sick or handling raw and cooked food, keep a safe 3 feet distance from others in public, use gloves and protective clothing around animals and seek a health care provider if symptoms of fever, cough, and difficulty breathing occur. Single-use masks may provide limited protection and are only useful if worn tightly and to keep you from touching your face.
Try to be mindful of any surfaces that you come in contact with. In busy public spaces or when you are traveling, kiosks and arm rests are places that can be overlooked for carrying germs and bacteria. Carry sanitizing wipes with you and wipe any counters, door knobs, touch screens, arm rests, airplane seats and food trays to protect yourself.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards to provide our clients with the best possible service. My Cleaning Service, Inc. follows Diversey’s recommended Healthy High Performance Cleaning (HHPC) in our Green Cleaning Program. The HHPC program focuses on using certified cleaning products and microfiber for better Indoor Air Quality. According to Diversey, “Microfiber technology has been proven over and over agin to pick up and retain more dust and dirt particles than traditional paper and cotton products.” The disinfectant we use is Diversey’s Oxivir® Five 16a rinse-free, hospital grade disinfectant concentrate that we are already using everyday. You can be assured that we are aware of the industry’s evolving demands and are updating our practices and technologies to meet the expectations we are proud to uphold.
We offer full disinfection services that will provide a complete disinfecting to surfaces that receive the most hands-on contact.
Introducing An Extra Service To Our Disinfectant Program
In part with keeping up with the industry demands and the current virus season, My Cleaning Service is offering an extended disinfectant program. In addition to our base services, we are purchasing a new cleaning product that we have researched will be useful in further disinfecting surfaces that receive the most hands-on traffic in the workspace. This includes the disinfecting of door knobs, faucets, elevator buttons, conference rooms, etc. The service involves the new cleaning product and extra time taken to thoroughly clean those hard surfaces that come into increased contact with germs and bacteria.
